There's more to intimacy than what exists between a man and a woman. In its simplest form, intimacy simply means closeness or a close friends. In Jesus day, sharing a meal with someone was considered an intimate act, only done with someone you cared about. If we want to develop intentional relationships, we must develop intimate friendships like Jesus did, like sharing a meal with someone who is far from God.

The same way Jesus did, by intentionally seeking to develop relationships with those who need Jesus. One way we can do that is by sharing a meal or other relationship building moments. Sometimes we don't feel very good about ourselves at all. But the better question is, who does God say that we are? As we read God's Word, I think we find the answer to be very different and much more positive.
